The DEKA FIT Ultra is our 25K event, which challenges competitors with the opportunity to complete our standard DEKA FIT event x 5 (25K / 15.5 miles) and conquer each DEKA Zone a total of 5 times (50 total zones).
- Ultra Age Group Heat: eligible for Age Group recognition (no podiums)
- Top 3 overall male and female finishers are awarded during the podium ceremony
- Males that finish the DEKA FIT Ultra in under 3:00 hours and females that finish under 3:20 hours will receive the coveted red Spartan RAM trophy.
DEKA FIT Ultra Description
- The standard DEKA FIT course layout and rules will be used, and the course will be completed a total of 5 times.
- After finishing the first DEKA FIT (20th RAM Burpee in DEKA Zone 10 is completed), competitors will begin their 2nd round of DEKA FIT. This process continues until the course has been completed 5 times. The competitor will cross the finish line after finishing the 5th round.
- The DEKA FIT Ultra bib will be provided to the competitor during registration check-in and must be worn until the competitor completes the race.
- A competitor DEKA Pit Stop Zone will be added to the course, and each competitor is provided a small space in the Pit Stop Zone for support items (food, hydration, and pit crew support staff).
- Competitors are allowed to have up to 2 pit crew members at a time to provide support in the Pit Stop Zone. Pit crew members must wear designated wristband to enter Pit Stop Zone. Competitors will receive pit crew wristbands at registration check-in and should distribute them to their designated pit crew members. Pit crew members must purchase a spectator pass for the day of the event before entering the facility.
- Pit crew are allowed access to the Pit Stop Zone and the festival area.
- *Food and hydration support are only allowed in the Pit Stop Zone.
- Cut-off times for the Age Group Category is 8 hours.
- Competitors that finish after the 8 hour cutoff and before course closure will still receive the finisher’s buckle; however, they will not receive an official DEKA FIT Ultra Mark.
- Registration limits, launch schedules, and the course flow format are set up in a way that should prevent zone back-up, but in the event there is a backup/wait in a zone, the rule will be first-come, served. There will be a holding area in each zone where competitors will line up in order of zone arrival.
- At select DEKA FIT Ultra events, top 3 overall male and female finishers will be awarded prize money. Top 3 Age Group male and female finishers will be awarded during the podium ceremony.
